E-brake light wont go away

Pretty self explanatory, but my e-brake light wont turn off on the dash. When e-brake is disengaged, the light stays on. Any ideas how to make it go away?

Messed around with the handle, and nothing has taken the ebrake light away...any other ideas?

Wrong forum, since its not an "engine" question... but I'll answer the question before I move it to the correct forum.

The "BRAKE" light serves 2 different purposes. Obviously its for the E-brake. But it also comes on if you have unequal pressure in the front and rear braking systems. Could mean you have a leak in either the front or rear, air in the system, etc. The light is activated by the pressure switch in the block attached to the right side of the ABS motor pack.

thanks for the information. It makes sense, seeing as how my brake pedal is a bit stiffer than normal. Do i need to bleed the brakes?

Could also be the simplest of things such as the fluid level. But if your pedal is 'stiff' could be a pressure issue.

Check the fluid level, make sure it's not low first.

Low fluid will only turn on the "BRAKE" light if its so low that air got in the lines. There is no level sensor on the reservoir.

there's a brake light switch at the e-brake lever...might need an adjustment.
