well it was the best 250.00 i spent took me 2 hrs to do the whole change over it stops 100% better than it did was preety simple to get done i got LS 1 brake lines and the brackets made it easy if you can get the lines and brackets you dont have as much problems like i ve read i was thinking it was gone to be a all day job and new brake lines all you need to do is get the LS 1 brake lines and frame brACKETS turn the bracke lines so they come up toward the top of the car and make the frame bracket straight and pull the steel line from the car out a little and your done

yup ur exactly right!! i did mine last week and went with the HAWK pads...spent about 250 for eveything and they work awsome!

i will always look at LT1 Brakes as brakes i could slap on my 20inch huffy!

i'm gonna go with an ls1 swap soon and i know i need at least a 16 inch rim so now i got a question

your spare tire
its a donut right?
is it a 16 inch rim too?
or is it a fullsize spare?

I have LS1 brakes on the front and rear of my 94. I had to buy a 97 or later spare to fit the brakes. The junk yard I bought the spare from told me the spare was changed in 97 even though the brakes weren't changed untill 98.
They are both donuts. If you only change the front you can use your original spare on the rear and move a rear tire to the front if you have a flat on the front.

yep.. just make sure u pick up some good rotors...

I got some stock LS1 rotors with my LS1 brake upgrade... Warped the hell out of them.. People have good luck with autozone cheap rotors if ur on a budget.

A very worthwhile mod.

the cheapn stuff from autozone is valuecrap i'd never buy it, and the regular stuff is duralast, pretty decent, i would personally buy a set of cross drilled slotted vented rotors off ebay

Ive never used it but ive heard and seen on this site that the autozone rotors .. not sure which brand were superior to the stockers...

I bought some rotors off ebay. slotted.
I dont trust crossdrilled.

havent put em on yet. They look good though..
