crossdrilled and slotted
crossdrilled and slotted
I know some people get pretty hot about this subject......but I don't see the big deal. Its time for new rotors and i'd like to upgrade.
I had Power Stop crossdrilled rotors on my last car, and let me tell you it was a night and day difference. I even conducted some before and after tests and it did stop in much less distance. I had them for over 40,000 miles never once did they crack or warp. The only thing I don't like about them is that they are an ugly goldish color.
Why can't i have the same results with an f-body? That doesn't make sense. I understand the physics of it (less surface area), but I had positive and proved results showing improvement. So whats the problem?

Re: crossdrilled and slotted
The difference you felt was most likely from better pads and better rotor material.
Get some good solid rotors w/the same pads and you most likely will hav the same performace. The only other thing w/drilled/slotted is that they cut the pad surface.
Go check out some of the SCCA forums and sites for better answers.
