Creaking noise from rear brakes???

My '96 LT1 Camaro's rear brakes are making a creaking noise when at a stop depressing the brake pedal. It sounds like old, creaky, wooden steps. I can also feel a little feedback (light roughness) through the brake pedal when the noise is happening. It is very annoying when at the drive thru or a stoplight and my creaks. If I pull up on the e-brake a couple times then depress the brakes the noise disappears until I start moving and have to use the brake pedal again to stop. I also have to pull my e-brake all the way up a couple times too for it to engage somewhat decent.... don't know if that would be related or not. If you guys could give me a couple ideas of things to look at and check would be awesome! TIA!

Jeff
