Exclamation Need Help Fast!!

I have goldline springs on my car. They are too low, so i got some eibach pro springs now for the rear. Does anyone know if they go on with the rubber thing on the top or not?? And does the flat side go to the top, or the bottom?? I put them in without the rubber, and the flat on top. It looks too high?? i need some input fast!!

thanks in advance

Re: Need Help Fast!!

the isolator has a spring shape cut into it...it's cut to fit the spring...so, flat side upwards.

also, if you dont want it there run a water hose or some fuel line down the first coil or so. it will stop the squeaks while taking out the thickness of the isolator.

i'm sure the eibachs are designed to fit the isolators though...but if you find it's too high with it in you can take it out.

I put them in like that with the rubber isolators. it looks a little high, but i guess it might be because the springs are brand new...and they need time to settle?? But we'll see i guess. The car looks like a damn dragster...haha

Re: Need Help Fast!!

take the spring out and compress it in a spring compressor.

do not allow the coils to touch...the spring will be useless. if you have access, use a wall mounted unit because it's safer and will be easier to use.

this will take out all the "sag" in the spring and will net you the natural ride height after use. or...you can jack up one wheel at a time (pas/driv) a few times and that will get you some sag too. if you're still not satisfied i'd go with some new springs.
