Coleman LCA's???

http://www.colemanracing.com/section/index.htp?id=638

Has anyone ever used these on an fbody? I assume this doesn't include the ends, just the bar and you need to weld on ends. The prices just seem awfly low, even for just the bars. Can anyone shine any light on this?

Re: Coleman LCA's???

its just the bars.

you thread rod ends in it... use spacers since the rod ends arnt that wide, and thats it....

theres a how to somwhere online about it.

all it is, is a bar with hex ends and tapped at each end. unlike alot of the Fbody LCA selling companys, they arnt ripping your *** on the price... they're just selling it for what it is.

Re: Coleman LCA's???

I've run those LCA's and PHR this summer, with QA1 Endura Rod ends, and Seals-it rod end seals. They work great, and only cost like $200 total for everything. The ride is a little harsher, but it handles a TON better.

If anyone can link me to that how to that would be great. For the price, I think I may try this company out. Thanks guys!

Re: Coleman LCA's???

Thanks for the link. This seems pretty cheap compared to the going rates for lca's and panhard bars. I wonder why more people don't do this??

Re: Coleman LCA's???

I did it w/ the qa1 rod ends also, I think there great.

Warning as stated above the ride is harsher you really begin to appreciate smooth roads after going w/ these. And also make sure you line them up with the old ones as exact as possible. I did this w/ the drivers side but was in a hurry to get to school so the pass. was off. I only drove it a couple of more times before fixing the problem, but by then I had knocked the preload out of them and now they raddle. Another sign was the hexlock nuts wanted to back out all the time I had to muscle them to stay so I could get to work and school.

I drove a friend home the other night and he told me I needed to replace my shocks!

But the traction is noticable better my tires can't take it! I love accelerating out of a turn and haveing that planted jerk feeling.

In general, people waste a lot of money on crappy suspension parts for these cars...ignorance is bliss.

Re: Coleman LCA's???

The other reason most people don't do this is because you have to fabricate the spacers... Most people seem to barely be able to figure out how to do a direct replacement, yet fabricate parts; even if it is just cutting a piece of tubing to length.

I will agree with that corner jerk. I put my 12-bolt and BMR TA in at the same time... all I can say is DAMN this thing handles WAY differently. I actually have to put some effort into breaking it loose in the corners, it just STICKS; I need some better seatbelts (5 pts) to keep myself in the seat.
