Brake Rotors? which ones?

my stock ones feel kinda wraped to me plus this gives me a reason to upgrade them, should i get cross drilled or slotted or the combo of slotted cross drilled? i heard slotted are the best but i want to know for sure. oh yea where is a good place to find 4 of these rotors at a good cost. thanks guys

do you road race? if not its not worth it..

Just replace them with autozone rotors.. they are better and last longer than stock.

slotted rotors eat up pads

drilled rotors, often, if cheap, will crack.

if you spend $ and get good ones but never really use them its a waste.

I'm using Brembo blanks. Nothing fancy and fairly inexpensive.

If you have a lt1 get the ls1 brakes they are around 300 and will be a lot better. If you have an ls1 car and 17's get the c5 front brakes. Those are better. If you just want to throw some hawk pads and brakes lines with good fluid, again better than stock. But if you got some money there is Baer,Bremo, etc. that have 12-14 inch rotors, a whole new assembly, everything.

I'd use stockers unless I was upgrading the whole brake system.

i got my powerslot brakes really cheap from autozone i thionk they were 30 or 60 bucks, anyways get some hawk pads and goot brake fluid and that should hold you for a while, the only time they fade is when i slow down fast from 130-140 but i dont do that much so its ok

I got my Pro Stop slotted rotors off of ebay for like 80 bucks for 2. They're made by Hawks Racing.

I have an LT1 and will be going with Z06 brakes. A great, inexpensive way to go.

I second that. Had stock salad shooters before I did mine but it was worth it. I also agree that going with stock is just fine unless autocrossing, but if you wish, upgrading is never a bad thing. A lot of people recommend those Aimco rotors from AutoZone and thats what's goin on my rear.
