Drilled/slotted are just for looks. Do you want to stop better or just increase bling?

yea...im sure the C6 Z06 has cross drilled rotors on it cuz it looks nice

either drilled or slotted helps. they both help dissapate heat and any gasses that build up between the rotor and pad, decreasing fade. i have been told that slotted is better then drilled due to a greater amount of surface area for the pad to be in contact with, therefore increasing friction

Actually they are there for looks.

How will making holes and grooves in the surface area going to increase said surface area? It takes material away from the surface. Not to mention, it increases friction and yet magicly dissipates heat too?

The fact is, the more mass there is in a rotor, the more friction/energy it takes to heat it to a given temp or to increse said temp. When you drill and slot you are decreasing the mass.

Outgassing is not an issue anymore unless you are using junk pads. Modern pad materials do not have the outgassing issue of the past. You should check out what brake pad manufacturers have to say about "outgassing." It'll sound like what I just told you.

Stop believing all the marketing propaganda and try a search for more info.

I got mine fromIrotors.com

Couldn't be happier with product, price and service on the phone.

They are drilled & Slotted, which as stated is not required, but looks neat, and won't really hurt anything, again just not really needed in today's world.

I opted for the Black Zinc Coating when I bought mine, but look like all they offer is silver now.

They are pretty hefty and doubt you can beat all four for $180......
