The master cylinder is a sealed unit, there isn't a gasket between it and the booster. Sounds like you need to rebuild the master cylinder or replace it. Verify that you don't have a crack in the plastic reservoir;if it's not cracked, then it's probably not safe to be driving around with a leaking master cylinder.

Re: Brake Master Cylinder Leaking! Help!

Same thing just happened to me. It lost pressure, then it came back so I parked the car until I can fix it. Do not drive around with a leaking master clyinder or you will find yourself in the back of another car. The whole master cylinder was $160 from dal, i have a 95 TA and according to my VIN I bought part # 18021940 . You can also get this from gmpartsdirect.com or other sources. Good luck, you also have to bleed to master cylinder before putting it on, I am going to pay a shop for that.

As for as doing the job it looks easy since there are no access issues, nothing covering the mounting bolts, the bleed screws are easily accesible. So for once I think I may have any easy time working on something fairly major on my car.
