BMR LCA torque spec?

Installing BMR LCA's and am a bit confused by the torque spec..
Factory manual says:
LCA bolt 80 ft lb
LCA nut 60 ft lb
Which is it?
Now, the above lead me to believe that the BOLT would thread into the 'plate' of the attachment point, then the NUT would 'lock' it into place?..
This is not the case tho..
The bolts are regular bolts and the nuts go onto the bolts in the usual manner..
So.. what is the torque spec?[I know the NUT says 60.. BUT.. why does it say 80 for the BOLT? Doesn't make any sense to me?]
And why is there a spec for the BOLT at all?

Re: BMR LCA torque spec?

I just tightened mine up as tight as i could get them with a 1/2" drive ratchet and they are fine with no squeaks. I don't think its that big of a deal.

same here I used my breaker bar and one 30mm wrench (to slide over the smaller wrench 18mm was it?) to tighten them down untill the were really snug.

I put mine to 100 lbs or so, jstu make them as tight as you can with the 3/4" ratchet.
Tight enough that they arent going anywhere, and with no snipe they wont be tight enough that it will pinch it at all.

Re: BMR LCA torque spec?

OK well I torqued to 70[rear bolts, couldn't get torque wrench on front ones, but they are about the same..]
So this is an ERROR in the factory manual then, [ that should be mentioned, since I did a search and didn't see any mention of it..]
FWIW the panhard rod has a similar spec..
Panhard bolt 35 ft lb
Panhard nut 75 ft lb
Gonna go 75 on the nuts..
This is very confusing that they did this in the manual?
I can't see the point of it?
