Banjo Bolt size
Banjo Bolt size
HI, New to the board. I have been trying upgrade my 97 Grand Prix brakes to 98+ f-body calipers w/ 12' Intrigue rotors on the front . Being my first brake job I have ever done, the back took a couple days...broke a couple rachets, 7 years of rust built up on everything. well to get to the point, I am going on roughly 9 days of not having a car. I stripped my first caliper, so i ordered a new one wich took 3 bus. days to come in. now I get the new one and i lightly strip the new one. This is when i find out i need a diff. banjo bolt. Well no one has a listing for it and the dealerships dont stock them. This is getting kind of excessive, figuring i have to drive to work mon - fri. and have been relying on rides the past week. I have the part number and i did a search. Does anyone know the size, i know its fine thread, but I need deminsions so I can pick it out of a misc. banjo bolt bin at pep boys.
If I understand your question correctly, you have 98 F-Body calipers, and need to know the banjo bolt size/threads. You would be more likely to find the answer among 98-02 owners, most of whom will be found on "LS1 Tech". Moving thread there....
Re: Banjo Bolt size
You don't know what one is, but you need one
Its a bolt with a hole in the center, and some side holes. It attaches the brake hose to the caliper, and allows a 90 deg connection which fluid flows thru the bolt.
