My NCOIC use to have a Mustang and had an adjustable pan hard bar he never used for it. He told me if I found out if it would fit the camaro hed just give it to me for free. I dont think it would but figured hell for free I might as well ask. Would it?

 

Why don't you just go under the car and look?

 

The stock 4th Gen bar is 43" long, bolt center to bolt center.

 

Cause he hasnt given me the bar yet is why I dont just go under and look hehe. Honestly I figured maybe someone just flat out knew that a ford mustang part would or wouldnt fit a GM camaro.

 

OK. Now you can ask him to measure the bar between the bolt centers, and you will know the answer, and you can share it with the rest of us.

 

Just thought about the fact with the pan hard bar being adjustable if it was slightly shorter and fully closed or longer at fully open that the 43" you said wouldnt that mean it would still fit? Does diameter mean anything as for the bar working for the car?

 

Diameter of what? ...the diameter of the tube used to make the bar? If so, doesn't matter, as long as its strong enough (L/D ratio) to resist "buckling" under compressive loads.

With regard to adjustment, it has to be adjustable to a 43" length, plus any added or reduced length as a result of changes in chassis ride height.

 

OK the guy is suppose to be checking it for me. I was looking around on summit and what not and it didnt appear they listed any of the same pan hard bars for the different cars. I was assuming there had to be something different between the two. Bolt hole sizes or something.

 

The PHBs on Summit unless specifically called out for cars are universal, and mainly for use on Ladderbar and 4-link suspension setups.
