95z parking brake wont click / lock
when i pull up on my parking brake handle it wont lock. i have the console out and i can see the cables being pulled and it gets tight but it wont lock in place. i dont see anything that looks out of place. any suggestions?

Has to be a problem with the pawl that fits into the notched plate. The button releases the pawl. Could be rusted/stuck, could be broken. Check the factory manual for details. I'd post a diagram but I'm not in a position that I can access it. Just looking at the mechanism should show you the problem, when you see how it is supposed to work.
