79 Camaro RS suspension upgrades

I have a 79 Camaro RS that I am trying to upgrade. It came out with a 305 and turbo 350 but it now has a 350 and 700r4. basically all stock other than that and 16" iroc wheels that dont really fit. I also have a 95 z28 that i am rebuilding. and i was wondering if anyone has had any encounters or info on swapping the lt1 and 4l60e into a 2nd gen. inquiring about suspension swaps/upgrades as well. basically i want to put as much as i can in the 79. If its not worth it i will just get the 95 going and daily it and slowly rebuild the 79. the 79 is my daily and only car right now so it makes it hard to do a lot to it. usually do most of the work myself or with the help of friends.

Re: 79 Camaro RS suspension upgrades

A realitivly cheap one to use ,is a set of 1979-81 Z-28 springs in front. TA WS-6 ear springs , A good set of gas shocks. I have used KYB`s ,But thats up to you. 1 1/4 front .7/8`s rear .with a Herb Adams rear sway bar kit. Its stronger than stock. With grease able urethane sway bar bushings . Frame conntectors. I have use at one time I believe a set of 16 x 8 fronts IROC rims on my 1979 Z-28 RS Camaro . This set up you can do in a series of weekends. As time and money allows. I have upgraded my car with more exotic stuff over time When the car became a "toy".The choice is yours. Have fun
