I was out on a mountain road cruise with some friends C-5's. One being an '02 Z-06. My SS has more rubber on the road, or at least it is equal. I've got 275's all around, and the vettes have 255's, and 285's & 295(Z06). Why do the handle so much better? Is the geometry that bad on the Camaro? What are the best ways to improve it? I've done a strut tower brace and RLCA bracket, and a hiem joint adj. panhard bar. I'm sure bilsteins would help too, but what else is there?

Front Swaybar, Shocks, Springs, Rear Swaybar in that order will give you the biggest difference.

Its not "geometry". The C4/C5/C6's handle better because they have an indpendant rear suspension, and not a live rear axle. The IRS keeps the full tread footprint of a wide tire on the ground, something that is very hard for a live axle to do. Also lighter weight, a lower center of gravity and better F/R weight balance (50/50 vs ~58/42).

Our cars are capable. I remember seeing 1.5 seconds or so between sam and an equally driver Sam was in his camaro and the other guy was in z06.

Sams springs
Koni's SA
Sams Bars
Double ADJU panhard bar
Good tires

Your car would handle very good. Will it be a vette NO. Will it be transformed? YES!
