Waxing

What do you all recommend using down here in the harsh weather of the sun? I'm not ruling out purchasing an orbital buffer but I've never waxed a car before either so I was thinking maybe it would be safer to do by hand the first couple of times around?

I only hand buff my cars, use a good wax, not some cheap $5.00 Walmart brand wax. Meguiares is very good.

Well, I've got some swirl marks in the paint I'd like to get out. Any specific kind I should be looking at? Should I clay bar before waxing?

Swirl Marks

Dude,
My last show truck, I used a buffer, and then had swirl marks.
One of the "locals" turned me on to Meguiares swirl remover.
Hand buff with a soft cloth... And the marks are gone!!!

Good deal, I'll have to look into that.
