Question Turtle Wax vs. Other Waxes

Hey, my friend was being thoughtful, so she bought me some Turtle Wax. I used Meguiars Step 3 Carnuba wax now, so how does Turtle Wax stack up against that and other waxes? Thanks

Thumbs down

Honestly, TW is on the lowest end of the scale when measured against its competition, IMO. I, personally, wouldn't let the stuff touch my paint, ever. I've used plenty of carnauba waxes in the past including nearly every Meguiar's product, but I always stayed away from TW. It's just not what serious car detailers would ever use on their own cars. TW is hardly ever used in head-to-head wax comparisons and you'll NEVER find a show car that has been prepped with that stuff. But hey, it's the thought that counts. You might want to hint from now on to skip the TW , and buy Zaino, err Meguiar's.

Wink

Thanks Mike, I'll see if I can take a ride down to Pep Boys or Auto Zone and see if I could exchange it for something better. If I can't, then I think it will do just fin on my moms beat up minivan

Very good idea...your Bird deserves much better. The van, however, sounds like a different story.
