is this a bolt-on and start saving for the rebuild type of setup?

ie, just the turbo itself and plumbing? or does this include other stuffs as well...

STS Kit...

It's the full kit... Turbo and everything needed...

STS Turbocharger Systems are designed so that they can be installed with average mechanical ability and without the need for specialty tools. Most systems can be installed in 4-6 hours by first time installers. Our installation instruction manual contains full color photos with step-by-step instructions which are clear and easy to follow. No cutting or modifying of the vehicle is necessary to install our system. All components mount to existing factory mounts and hardware. The system can also be removed in 1-2 hours and virtually leave no trace that it was ever installed, which is great for those customers who get new vehicles every year.

STS Turbo Systems utilize top quality Garrett turbochargers and TiAL wastegates to give you years of trouble free driving and consistent performance. Turbocharger systems carry a full 12 month/12,000 mile warranty against defects in materials and/or workmanship. With names like STS, Garrett, and TiAL behind you, you can rest assured that you are getting a quality product that you can depend on and performance that you can enjoy every time you drive!

on a stock lt1.....expect high 12, low 13 (a guy in ftlauderdale has it)...........not really impressive for the money.

on a low compression motor, it can make some power........but no one has done this at sea level yet, because the kit is so new.

this is a thread about their results on a low compression setup, but at their elevation.........not sure how this would perform down here.

sourcing out the products for yourself would end up costing you quite a bit less than the mid 3000 dollar price tag that they're asking. i'd imagine with a decent stall in an automatic car and some sticky tires (DRs even) you could get some nice times out of it.

i do agree, for the 3000 price tag i would go another direction, juice. sure, it's not there all the itme but it's cheap and works great.

well there are a lot of people out there who just slap on a supercharger on stock lt1 with boltons..........i think the main goal of the turbo kit is showing the Fbody owner who is thinking about bolting on a supercharger that there is a better alternative for the same or less money
the turbo will be easier on the engine and on fuel
