I know that's all you do. I just thought you might have an old set laying in a corner or something. Thanks for all the help.

I slapped some JB Weld on the punctures. If they hold, tomorrow I'll bend the exhaust brackrt back in place and fill it up with lubricants for a test drive.

Here are some pics.

and from the semi truck incident:

Sorry, you'll have to cut and paste to see the links.

Yeah right! I'd venture to say that after this my factory warranty is probably void. They can blame just about anything that goes wrong now (drivetrain) on the damage that was inflicted by heavy objects pounding on the motor, transmission, exhaust and suspension. I guess it's no longer necessary to hold back the mod flow.

Chuck,

Sorry to hear about your continuing bad luck. If the JB Weld doesn't work then I'm pretty sure the holes can be Tig welded shut pretty easily considering the oil pan and tranny case are both aluminum. From the looks of it they could probably do it on the car if you could find someone willing to come out to your house.

Let me know if you need any help swapping out parts!

First of all, maybe someone else allready asked this, but Why in the hell was your wife driving your car?!?!?!?

OK now that I got that out of the way, man that sucks. I have a buddy that can probably weld that for you and will probably come to you.

Sorry to hear about this though. The car in front of me almost hit a ****ing wheelbarrow on I4 on the St Johns river bridge. Then he was trying to balance it on the wall in the middle and had traffic backed up because as you know there is no where to go on the bridge. Being stuck behind him, I walked up to the guy and ripped it out of his hands and threw it off the bridge and got traffic moving again. I was hoping the ******* that dropped it would come just as I threw it so I could throw him too. These morons need to figure out how to secure things on these damn work trucks. You figure since they do it for a living, they could figure it out.

wow its a proboem here too?

In south florida, there woudl be large groups of illegal htians and Cubans on work trucks, and there was a huge problem of crap flying off the trucks, 14 year old girl got impaled, through the windshield, clear through her and the passenger seat of the car.

another time of a guys rim was so rusty it crumbled and fell in fornt of a mercedes and lady lost control and crashed and cause a mini pile up. And of course none of them had insurance.

I let my wife drive it because she let me buy it. Not only that, but the next car is hers and it'll most likely be a 2008 Z06. I'll want to drive that one too. Besides, I've grown kind of accustomed to occasional sexual encounters over the past 11 years of marriage. I'd hate for that to end. I don't think she wants to drive it anymore now anyway. She's still kissing my butt.

I see Sanford & Son type guys all the time with their old rust bucket pickups loaded to the brink with scrap metal crap like this. No cover, stacked as high as the top of the cab, doing 25 down 434 and 419 trying to keep it from dumping. I guess they get some kind of recycling $ at the transfer station or something.

I've already cleaned it up real good and slapped JB Weld on the two leak areas. It seems to have bonded pretty good. Plus, neither spot has any structural stress or pressure on it so it should be okay. I just removed the cross brace that the exhaust was rubbing on for now. I was planning on driving it to work tonight but tried replacing the sway bar while I was down there. Then I found there is a stupid bracket on the driver's side that was gonna take a few minutes more to get out. Didn't have time to finish so it'll wait till tomorrow. Almost back on the road.

Yeah, one of those two bracket screws under the wheelwell flap are a pain to get a ratchet on. I think we used an open-end wrench for him.

I better get used to it, doing it again in a week. But, if you want more practice...
