the new seminole county unmarked crown vics are the standard white with black rear panel and 5% tint, but now they also have nitrous express license plate frames, XM radio reciever on the rear of the roof, and ugly plastic-crome hubcaps.

 

If they do indeed have nitrous, what's the point?

The odds of getting into a high speed chase aren't even great enough to justify the cost of outfitting those cars with a nitrous system.

Even if they do, what are the odds that there will be enough room to safely use it without running into anyone or catch someone with a faster car or bike? I guess they now have 15 second cars instead of 16 second cars.

 

Cops aren't supposed to "give chase" to people in central florida anyway, so if they do there really is no point.

I think you guys are missing the point. The license plate isn't there because the HAVE nitrous but because they want you to THINK THEY HAVE nitrous and try and race them.

Then they can pull you over and put their kids through college with the bonus they get !

could have been oviedo cop car, either way its a cop car in the seminole / oviedo area.

 

i've heard that they equip the cars with nitrous so that they can get that reall quick sprint of acceleration needed to do the "pit manuever"

 

around here i havent seen the crown vics, but i have seen 3-4 unmarked mercury marauders, tinted windows, chrome 18" wheels (not hubcaps), regular white license plate, all hidden lights, no big antanae.
they look exactly like the factory car, no noticable difference, other than the dark tinting which is really common anyway.
so far ive seen black ones and silver ones pulling people over all the time.

they are part of a taskforce designed to crack down on aggressive drivers.......speeding, tailgaiting and multiple lane changers etc

 

hard to say... but do the cops really think they are fooling people with a Crown vic with a NX plate?

I mean anyone smart enough to distinguish a plate like that and know what it means has to be smart enough to know what a Crown Vic looks like.

 

my favorite is that its still got the giant black panel on the rear with the tag that says "POLICE INTERCEPTOR"

 

Maybe its to fool ricers into thinking they cannot outrun a crown vic cuz it has NAAAAAAAAWWWWWZZZZ

 

we have dodge durangos/ dakotas....blue w/ tint, white w/ tint + swamp tires...you cant tell itsa cop ntil the siren is on, and they have body panels that are motorized and signs that say POLICE flip out..its pretty cool, but dick at the same time.

 

if that came up behind me and flipped the lights on i can honestly say i wouldn't pull over until i found a big well lit area with tons of people.

sounds like some redneck with cop lights trying to have some fun with his friends pulling random people over.
