Thumbs up MOVING FROM THE SNOW! Orlando here I come! 12 DAYS! PS: Job hunting!

Im out of the snow ridden salt and icey roads of New England where its about 19 deg. right now and everything is frozen..I gotta get out of here..so Im on my way..so hello guys! been down to Fl. many times and love it. Ocala, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Vero Beach, St Pete, Tampa area...just love the places....Im heading down there to the warm..with my fiance whos from Orlando
Will be there in 12 days! cant wait..warm weather...the Z is out of the harsh snow..I think we will be in shock, both the car and I..

it will rock.. but need to know JOBS..anyone know of a place looking..Basically I'm a blue collar worker, painter by trade. So if anyone has any connections or leads..it would help cus I dont want to go back..to much packing..

Welcome. There are lots of car clubs here and I'm sure we'll see you around. Need help? Just ask. Everybody's good about lending a hand when needed.

Just don't come down here driving like a dammn Yankee, okay?

I just did your same move a couple of months ago! I was up near Salem, MA and moved back to Florida. I was only up there about a year, but got treated to the worst winter of my life! It is beautiful up there though You'll love it down here though if you're sick of the snow and cold weather!

Thumbs up

Welcome. I did that move back in 89, Painted for a living in NYC for 10 years. Changed proffessions 2 x's since living here. Painting Commercial or residential? I did the commercial stuff up north, Unions and all. I couldn't get a start down here though so I went into other things at the time. I would look into the big hotel chains for paint work as they need to be kept in tip top shape at all times. Also residential & commercial construction is evident down here now so I would guess they would be looking for help. Good luck.
