inconsiderate mother f'ers

i HATE selling my own car... it absolutly sucks

yesturday this guy calls, says he's interested, asks if he can come over. i say sure, sunday afternoon is a good time to come over. he says great i'll call before i leave. he lives like 2 or 3 hours away.

NO CALL ... i've pretty much given up on this guy

stupid mother f-er couldn't have at least CALLED to say he wasn't coming? i took time out of my studying for big exams this week so that i could wash the car and clean out the inside of all my crap and he doesn't even give me the common courtesy to CALL to tell me he wasn't comming sunday afternoon.

stupid bastards. now i know why people just trade thier cars in.

east Orlando... Right next to UCF, just easy of Alafaya, on McCulloch, if he is at his apartment at Northgate...

Oddly enough, I had no problems selling both my old cars...I told them everything I knew wrong with the car, sold it for a few hundred less then one I could really get if I worked hard.

By teling them everything wrong they assume I am not hiding anything(which I am not) and give them a price, that makes them think, this is a good deal, someone will snag it if I don't which is true. But in the end its more then what a dealer woudl offer me.

My first car, went to a car show(towershops in south florida), with a posterboard, had it sold, the next morning, cash in hand.

-Car is fixed up and being shown(actually got som pics of it this weekend)

My 94, put it up on the boards, had people wanting to drive from Texas, Ohio, Indiana to trailer/drive it home, met with someone local and got rid of it.

think I sold that car in maybe 3-4 days. I might have been able to get more for my cars... maybe like $100-500 more, but then again my 94 might still be sitting out front.

BTW have you posted on the v6 boards?

I would go to www.firebirdv6.com, www.fbodyv6.com, www.domesticv6.com and post in the florida, and for sale section.

Had the same problems selling the 96 convertible. Calls promising they would be there soon and never show, people coming looking and would be back in about an hour with cash, small deposits and no further contact til I sell it to another person a month later and wanting his deposit back. The best one was the promise of a deposit on Saturday through paypal from Philly or something. No deposit shows up, no contact, wont return phonecalls, so on Sunday I sell the car and the deposit shows up an hour later. Then he is pissed because I sold it.

So get used to it. I have found that by the time you pay the extra tax and go through the hassle sometimes it is just not worth the effort. I do have a buddy that might be able to run it through the auction though. He says that this time of year cars pull good money because of tax time. Let me know and I will put you in touch.
