Mothers Reflections
Does anybody here have any idea what Mothers Reflections is for (I know basically it is a wax/polish) and had any success with it?
I read in one of the Zaino posts that it was not a true synthetic and that it also doesn't layer, most likely because of it polish capability(?).
According to Mothers website:
REFLECTIONS® PREMIUM POLISH/WAX
Mothers® Reflections® Premium Polish is packaged to give synthetic polish fans the hard-fast shine they want. Delivering a high-tech molecular combination of resins, polishes and conditioners, Premium Polish showcases Mothers®' MET (Micro Encapsulation Technology). As you apply the Premium Polish, its molecules break apart and distribute the resin and conditioners, while the polish removes surface contaminants and minor blemishes that leave your paint dull and oxidized. As Premium Polish dries, the high-gloss resins and emollient conditioners bond with your paint and leave the polishing agents suspended, ready to be buffed away for a complete shine.
After this are you then supposed to apply regular wax over it, or use more of the same? Or some other type of wax?
Thanks!
MC

I think it is a final finish product. I would much rather use it than the Mothers carnauba products, me and a friend used Mothers carnauba paste years ago and our arms liked to have feel off after trying to rub that stuff off.

I just did a Mothers 3 step with there Deep Crystal series. I was impressed. It was a ton of work, and my paint needed it, but it took all the old wax off, along with some stuborn dirt. I did small sections of panels, using body lines. It went on nice and came off easily also.
Thanks KevinSS and Cobra R.
Cobra R, did you only use the Reflections as the wax or did you use their Carnuba wax too? And as Kevin pointed out, did you use the Reflections over that?
Thanks again!

No, just the Carnauba deal. I would have tried Reflections, but they were out of it when I was buying everything.
I did get the Reflections Carwash and used that tonight, seems to have worked well. I dosnt apear that it removed any of the wax job.
Basically here is what went on:
I bought this Mustang about 8 months ago. I dont think the guy ever waxed it. Under the shop lights, it looks horrible. I had sent it out to a detailer, the car looked better when I got it back, but it was only ok at best.
At this point I am pretty much the only way it will ever look good is to have the car painted (its Red so you know how red fades even when taken care of)
The other weekend I said the hell with it, bought the following products and used them in the order listed. After washing the car of course.
Mothers Clear Coat Body Scrub
Mothers Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (Step 1)
Mothers Deep Crystal Polish (Step 2)
Mothers Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax.
Now under the shop lights the paint still look bad. It has heavy acid rain damage.
However out in the sun, this car actually looks like a really nice Red car. I am really impressed by it. The car still needs to be painted, but the paint does not bother me like it was.

Cobra R,
Are you sure about the products you are using?
MOTHER'S does NOT make any of the products you describe. Meguiar's, however, makes the Body Scrub, and all the Deep Crystal line, BIG difference there. Meguiar's also does NOT make the Reflections polish, it's strictly Mother's, so which system are you really using? I'm completely confused by your posts...
