Good brake Shop?

Ok guys, As you read in another post.. I swapped my rear for a disk brake rear. Something just doesn't seem right with the brakes. Does anyone know a good brake place I can take the car so they could look at it and maybe figure out what's wrong. Hopefully they won't freak I don't have a emergency brake cable... or a cat convertor. Thanks.

I am telling you bleed the suckers...

I blead them like 10 times... seemed like no air was in them but there ended up being some Others had the same problems...

car just seems like it doesn't stop fast enough right?

What I used was a lawnmower fuel line(sold at autozone) its just a clear tube, put it over the bleed nipple on the brakes, and used and empty gataorade bottle, just go back and forth back and forth with the brakes, you more then likely just have air in the line.

Or are you having other problems?

Grinds, squeaks, moans... I do not think he has the right rotors still..... Something is odd with the setup.

94 rear, 97 calipers, 96 brake pads.... 97 Disc's so go figure...

All that stuff should be compatible...

Are the rotors and pads new?

I went like 4 months on the junkyard pads and rotors I had...

Here is what I know:

With new pads rotors do not fit. So John Grinds down the pads on my bench grinder and you can now slide the rotors on, but still snug.

Stange lines form pads occuring in rotors could be due to non flat grinding.

Pads do not seem to come back and forth fast enough IMO.

Try opening the brake fluid resovoir... then using a push the piston back in slowly. to make more room.

these are pics of front pads but this is the difference in thickness...

one is worn to bare metal other is a new hawk pad.

the rears were the same difference.(yes that is Vin diesle looking over my shoulder )

and for laughs I found the pic I showed my mom to explain to her where I broke my torque arm, I think she made fun of me for a week for the pic.
