Going back to FL..anybody know any good cheap moving trucks???

Well I came up to MA for a little while to make some extra money, and now me and my Fiance are going back to FL in december. We are looking for some good moving trucks that arent too expensive. We are putting the Z on a trailer, and im driving my stang down, so we need to know any good places to check out that we can get a good deal for moving out of state??? We dont wanna spend more than about $1500.... Thanx guys! any advice, let me know!

Penske. Best deal out there. I think it was $1000 for 1 week and unlimited miles. Gas sucked, but I think total was less than $1500 total from Rochester NY to central FL, truck and all.

Plus, Penske trucks are all less then 3 years old and all run good. UHaul trucks are junk. I have seen more broken down beside the highway.

I try never to rent & drive my own anymore,

two drunk mexicans ( no insult, pardon the phrase, please read on....) were drunk, paryting in their van, (of course the baby was in the van) and they came out of the ditch, the wrong way, on to the interstate, hit and flipped my ~30 foot Ryder & destroyed the truck & most of the furniture.

no insurance, no license, no english. DFAS came & took the baby out the hospital, and the 2 guys went to jail from the ER.

i had paid the $60 ryder insurance, so that paid for the Ryder truck, and my renters insurance paid for my house stuff. State Farm kix butt!

just call these ABF guys, they deliver a trailer to your door, and you pack it, and they deliver it to your next place.

it was cheaper than renting a Ryder for them to move me from NE to GA.

hth, luck?

YOU PACK and load the trailer that ABF® delivers to your home.

WE DRIVE the trailer to your new destination. The transportation industry recognizes ABF drivers for their outstanding safety record.

Used Penske three times. They were also noticablely cheaper, better/newer, 97+ equpiment, great service. I will always use them, they will also beat other competers prices.

You should be able to get ANY moving truck for less than $1500...When I moved my girlfriend down from Michigan to Orlando They quoted us for the total trip at $941 for the truck (not including gas)...it was a 17' truck. It was the cheapest we could find, and I would imagine it would be a comparable price for MA to FL. Keep in mind gas is gonna be a lot, probably $300+. In the end we settled for the largest trailer which was like $180 and no gas to feed it
