Now he just wants to clock 100 once in the 1/4.... Ya I think it is a waste to toss 1500 into it, but it is such a clean ride and been taken very good care of...

I am thinking he should port is stock heads.. Do more of a gasket match when he does his headers over christmass... I putzed with porting on my old 2.8.... Did the upper and lower plenum.. Ground that mo fo down so nice and smooth... I even played with some used heads I bought... If you just keep it simple and gasket match his stock PCM should handle it? Shouldn't it?
My buddy ported a head on his stock four banger for fun back in college... lol... Gave it some more pep, but his ride had a carb I think...

hehe wouldn't still happen to have a ported lower and middle intake off that 2.8L woudl ya 
As for his car, he may want ot talk to shane he has done soem headowork on his 3.8L and is actually wroking on a turbo setup for his car.
