Ever had someone try and jack your car?
I had that problem with my Grand National. That thing is a magnet for criminals. I finally had to get a quick release steering wheel setup. When I leave the car, I take the steering wheel with me. What is left behind is a hub that will not accept anything but the receiver part that bolts to the steering wheel. One look at that and the theives realize that breaking in won't get them any closer to getting the car.
Of course that won't work with an airbag steering wheel, but the idea of making the car immobile and that it is plainly visible that it won't go anywhere goes a long way toward preventing break ins.
