Don't take your F-body to Waterford Lakes....

I posted in anohter thread a few days ago, my car got busted into on tuesday night, they screwed up my car.

basically...
-used a slim Jim, now my driver side door cannot open from the outside handle
-rippped out my dash board, ripped out the tape holder underneath, ripped up a little of my center console
-ripped my CD player out(was it worth it for a 5 year old CD player that was starting to skip?) and stole it along with 50-75 CDs in my car(great time to have moved my collection to my car while i am moving )
-stole my epass

I filled out a police report and what not. But one theft isn't something to get all worked up about, last night thursday night I had to call the police because a guy with a 95 Camaro(board member?) got his car busted into, stole his headunit, amps and subs, from what i understand.

last weekend an employee got his saturn busted into and 2 other cars.

So in one week, 2 Camaros, 2 other cars and a starun got busted into at the movie theatre.

My car was parked in the back for a hour meeting we had at work when it happened, but car break ins and car thefts happen all over the parking lot. And the security guards jsut sleep in their Explorers behind Target.

theyre probably the ones doing it.........security guards make dirt for money. haha

since its obviously a targeted area...........id get together some big burly friends and set up a sting. cops will never care about you and your radio.

find someone who doesnt mind using their car as bait.......maybe a beater car, and put something obvious like an amp box (empty of course, most car audio places toss them in the trash) on the front seat, looking like you just bought it.........then hide in another vehicle a where you can keep an eye on it...........possibly even have a camera ready to get evidence, just in case cops show up............personally id find even more enjoyment dishing out my own form of "justice" with my louisville slugger.

hehe I have thought about dong a sting, since I do work there I spend housr and hours, might jsut hang out out back a little more.

One guy got his radio stolen when he parked his car up front in the dorp off area and got tickets, went back and his radio was gone.

I personally have called hte cops for break ins maybe 20 times since I have worked there and reported 4 cars stolen. What was real bad is a Mercedes got busted into on Easter Sunday in broad daylight. Sometimes they smash the window sometimes they use a slim jim, they do it everywhere. 3 other managers besides myself have had there cars busted into since working here.

Pisses me off is the black guy likes to sit there and give me death glares when I speed or when afterhours I drive on the sidewalk and park directly in front of the glass doors of the movie theater under the overhang, I figure less likly to get mugged leaving the theater or my car getting trashed if its up there under the lights at 4am.

The Bulldyke lady likes to write down my license plate when I park out front and run inside to tlak or something to some work friends. not sure what she is gonna do with my plate number, if soeone parks out front they cannot ticket or tow them unless tey park on the yellow curb across form the theatre.

as for my radio? Its either getting the stocker, or I will jsut strip the rest of the interior(its total crap anyways) and drop some weight, last time I yanked the carpet and seats I got te car to 3020 lbs. maybe with the radio and part of the dash gone I can get it down to under 3,000.

sorry to hear about your car mustangeater. i know i'd be pissed if my car got broken into. i workout at la fitness and always park my car off to the side where i can keep an eye on it.

i'd seriously consider setting up a sting like others suggested. have someone pull in the parking lot blasting their radio and keep amps and cds in easy view if you walk by the car. have someone already parked nearby w/ a camera and just wait. i'm sure it wouldn't take long to bust someone(s).

Sorry about your misfortune, if I ever caught someone breaking into my car, it would be their funeral right there.

I bet someone from where you work might have something do to with it. You said other manager's cars were broken into also, so whoever is doing it knows when to break in so they won't be seen.

The sting operation sounds like a good idea, because I don't think those security guards care what happens to people's cars. There are people here who would definitely be interested in catching these guys, because we all go to Waterford Lakes and don't want our cars vandalized.

If you're looking for a CD player, I have a 200W Blaupunkt Austin CD41 laying around, let me know if you're interested.

hehe guys unfortuneatley I been looking to get rid of the car, getting a little worn out for my tastes, and my dad has his eyes on some used z06s. I am not looking to put any money in except for a jet chip stage 2, to try and break the current 3.4L N/A record held by me.

The manager break ins have been over 3 years, the average employee lasts 8 months or less So I doubt its a employee thing, and I tend to be the "cool" manager since I try not to take the job to serioulsy.

The bigger problem is ghetto *** kids, I have had to deal with kids stealing purses on a weekend night, sneaking in, doing drugs in he theater, armed robberies in front of target and other stores at night time, the place is just turning ghetto, I am for a sting but its hard to do.

as for vandalizism, the cop that filled out my report was also the same cop that helped us clean graffiti all over 8 customer cars.

The place is turning ghetto, and the rrB are moving in rrB= River Reach Boys, apartment complex gang, funny its the same place I am moving into next semester.
