Complete custom computer for sale

Price drop!! Now only $999 with all software or $900 without. Email me(camride@yahoo.com) or PM me with any questions!

I'm thinking about selling my computer because I still don't have a job and it would help me through the next month or so until I do. Plus whatever is left over can go towards getting me a car. I just finished this building this complete system about 2 months ago, so most everything is either 2 months old or a little older since I got some stuff used. Here's a list of everything and what I paid for it:

Abit IC7-G Max2(875P chipset): $125
Pentium 4 2.6c(Northwood, HT enabled): $150
Cooler Master Hyper 6 heatpipe tower cooler: $50
OCZ Extreme Bandwith Dual Channel PC3200 512mb(2x256mb): $125
ATI 9800se: $150
VGA silencer & Ramsinks: $25
Western Digital 80gig 8mb cache SATA HD: $100
Thermaltake PurePower 420w dual fan PSU: $60
NEC 7700A CD Burner(12x,32x,?x, not sure what the re-write speed is, maybe 8x): $15
Toshiba DVD-ROM: $20
Via Envy24 5.1 surround audio card: $25
Logitech Z640 5.1 Surround speakers: $50
USB 8 in 1 Flash Card Reader(generic): $15
Thermaltake case fans(3-80mm), Thermaltake "tornado" variable speed fan for Hyper 6 and 2 40mm fans rigged to cool memory: $60
Memorex Optical Mouse: $20
Random Emachines PS2 Keyboard: $0
Floppy drive: $10
17" Flatscreen Samsung SyncMaster CRT Monitor: $50
17" Gateway EV700 CRT Monitor: $50
Random case(not sure of make, would be nice except it's missing plastic on the front panel): $25
Total without software: $1,125

I'd like to sell everything together, unless the buyer only wants one monitor(or no monitors) instead of the dual monitor set-up I currently have. I'll take off $50 for each monitor you don't want. I would like to get $1,200 for it with all software, I will deliver to anywhere in the Central Florida area and meet halfway to almost anywhere else. If you want just the computer, monitors and accesories, but no software, I'll take $1,000 for it and I'll do a low-level format on the HD so it's completely clean for you. I will package the whole system extremely well(3 boxes, one for each monitor and 1 for the tower and accesories, everything will be very well padded). I will also help the buyer set everything up either personally or over the phone. I will entertain reasonable offers. Here is a complete breakdown of what you will get(software included):

Tower(the computer itself with everything installed, wires all neatly ziptied, see pics)
(2) 17' monitors
(1) PS2 keyboard
(1) PS2 Optical Mouse
(1) 8 in 1 USB Flash Card Reader
(1) Logitech Z640 5.1 Surround Sound System(1 center, 2 fronts, 2 rears and 1 sub)
(1) Windows XP CD with Product code(not the original cd, the cd is a burned cd)
(1) Microsoft WorksSuite 2001
(1) Windows XP Toolkit CD
(1) Abit IC7-G MB CD
(1) Halo
(1) SimCity 3000
(1) Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell
(1) Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield
(1) Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
(1) Morrowind: The Elder Scrolls 3 with Construction Set
(1) StarCraft
(1) Hitman Contracts

Now, let me say that this computer is fantastic. I really don't want to sell it, so if I can't get enough for the whole thing I might consider parting it out or I'll just keep it. I spent alot of time tweaking this thing just right, and it runs perfectly now. It never crashes the way it's currently configured(at 3.4Ghz) and has never had a virus(though I don't have any antivirus software). I always keep the HD defragged( once every 2 weeks or so) and everything runs perfectly. If you buy this computer all you will need to do is simply plug everything in and turn it on, you won't have to mess with a thing if you don't want to. I have refrained from doing any Windows registry tweaks becuase I have not had much success with them on previous installations of XP, they just end up screwing things up. So the registry is completely intact and the way it's supposed to be, you can tweak it if you want.

The case probably needs the most help out of anything on this computer. It was a good quality case, but the front plastic got broke off from the previous owner(a friend of mine) before he sold it to me. It is a screwless case as far as opening it up, the top panel slides backwards and up to take it off, then the side panels both just slide up and off. I cut a custom hole in the side panel for an intake fan, there are some small scratches in thepaint, but most are on the inside of the case and the few that are on the outside aren't very noticable. The thing that looks the worst is that plastic that is missing in the front(see pic), the power and reset buttons, plus the LED's for the power and HD are all in one piece that just kinda floats in the middle. There is supposed to be plastic surrounding it, but it all broke off. The case has pretty good airflow, I have the one side intake fan, a vent at the front right under the cd-rom's and then an exhaust fan right under the PSU(that the cpu tower cooler pushes the hot air from the cpu directly out of) and one at the middle of the top of the case. All fans are high quality Thermaltake ball bearing fans and when the cpu fan is on it's lowest setting the computer is pretty quiet. Once the cpu fan is turned all the way up though it does tend to sound like a vacuum cleaner because of the Tornado on the Hyper 6. Temps are in the next paragraph with the cpu info.

The 2.6c runs at 3.4Ghz prime95/F@H stable. It will go up to about 3.55Ghz and still be stable in Windows as long as you don't run any high-intensity apps. It runs 3.4Ghz on the stock Vcore and needs about 1.6Vcore to go up to 3.55Ghz. It also does pretty well in the CPU benchmarks in SANDRA. Dhrystone: 10,678, Whetstone: 4400/7825, The OCZ memory will run at 240(DDR480) at 1:1 with 2.5-3-2-6 timings and 2.8 Vdimm completely stable. Obviously I'm running a 5:4 divider to get it up to 3.4-3.5Ghz(ends up at about 210-220Mhz). The memory gets 6,050mb/s bandwith in SANDRA(see pic below). At 3.4Ghz the cpu sits at 32c idle and 42c load. At 3.5Ghz(1.6 Vcore) it sits at 34c idle and 45c load. The motherboard temps are usually 28c idle and 30c load. I used Artic Silver 5 on the cpu and the northbridge hsf. There is a panel on the front that allows you to control the fan speed for the cpu and the side intake fan. I usualy run the fans at the lowest speed when doing anything but folding or gaming and the highest speed for folding/gaming. The fact is that this 2.6c will run at 3.4Ghz at stock Vcore and will probably run like that for years without any problems. Since the Vcore doesn't need to be bumped up I'm sure it won't see any difference in it's life-span.

The ATI 9800se has been softmodded to a 9800Pro(all 8 pipelines work flawlessly, no artifacts). It overclocks to 415core/368mem without artifacts. It might go a little higher with copper ramsinks, I got the cheaper aluminum ones. I used Artic Silver 5 for the VGA Silencer and the Ramsinks. I've gotten the following high scores in the typical benchmarks:

3DMark01: 20,788
3DMark03: 6,680
Aquamark03: 48,508
PCMark04: 5,310

The computer overall runs damn good, rock stable at 3.4Ghz and runs games like a champ. I don't know how well it'd run some of the newest games like Doom3 since I don't have it, but I'm sure it'd hold it's own. It has all the latest drivers for every piece of hardware including the chipset driver.

All the software has the original boxes and instructions, so you will have the product codes and anything else you'd need for all the games. The Windows XP Toolkit cd is one of those cd's you get in a magazine with a bunch of random free software on it. It has the Unreal Tournament 2004 demo on it plus a bunch of software like Mozilla Firefox. It's a good cd to have around. I will also include some extra cables you might need. There may also be some things I have forgotten to mention that will be included, so don't be suprised if you get more than what's mentioned. Also, I could never get the onboard sound to work right on the IC7-G, so I got the Via Envy24 5.1 card. So make sure you plug the Logitech speakers into the Envy sound card, not the motherboard. The computer also has programs like MBM5 and ATItool already installed on it. The biggest thing this computer system has going against it is the not so stylish case. But you can get a new quality case for around $50.

Feel free to email me any questions you might have(camride@yahoo.com). If the buyer wants a non-overclocked system I can set everything back to stock. But I can honestly say that with the computer running like it is, it won't have any problems and definetly will not have a shortened life span.

Sorry this post is so long, but I wanted to be as thorough as possible in describing the computer. If I were going to spend $1200 I'd want to know everything about it
