Calling all members in tampa area see inside

Ok I am getting so close to dropping the motor back into my Z I can almost taste it. Heres the deal anyone in the tampa area that has an engine lift and a spare saturday or sunday to help out, I will provide the beer, food, music whatever it takes. I have a friend that will help as well, I just cant justify spending another 200 on a lift right now. Any takers oh yeah I live in N. Tampa Carrolwood area. just waiting on a few more parts that should be here in the next week or so. looking to do this right around the first or so.

I guess free beer and food isn't good enough, or people are just too lazy to help out. I bet if I offer some cash then i would get some replies

You might get better luck posting this over at BADRAP...

www.badrap.net

I'd offer my help but i'm in the process of getting my house ready to sell so my weekends are squashed.

Thanks Marty I'll do that. Is BADRAP a good place to find fellow f-body members in Tampa?

I have an engine hoist in my garage right now, the only problem is transporting it up to Tampa. If you find a way for me to get it to you, I am more than willing to help you out.

Yes, BADRAP is a great place to meet up with fellow F-body enthusiasts. But we're not limited to just F-bodies, we also have Stangs, GN's, old iron, etc. We're all about racing domestics...

I will have to check my schedule for time to do this, I know I need to spend some time with the wife. Especially since she has been putting up with all my car stuff lately.

Hey guys thanks for the offers but my engine is already in the car and running. Did the whole damn thing myself. Ugghhh!!!!! LOL. I wish I could have spent the $116.00 it cost me for to rent the lift on some lap dances at the mons. Now i need some tuning and gears, I ran it out at scumshine last night turned a 8.55 on a 1.93 60' with the 5hitty a$$ 2.73's still in the rear. smells real rich too. Where can i get a good chassis dyno tune around here?

sorry snkeatr i got my project to finish up.. ive got 2 more weeks. Ill be able to do it.

for the header bolts i'd take out all of them but 1 then put in and start a 2nd header bolt and disconnect the last bolt u left in there. Then put in the front and back header bolts... Use a felpro 1406 or 1407 gasket and it'll drop right in and catch on the front and back bolts.. then put in the other bolts.. Header bolts are that bad... just a little bit of time.

I think adjusting the rockers are more of a bitch that header gaskets.
both are just time consuming...

Also talk to jeremy.. he tunes most of the bad rap guys cars. Fasterproms@aol.com
