Re: attn DanBUCF....

I brought it to the track twice after the LT's...but couldn't get traction to save my life. Though I did pick up 2-3 mph. It'll trap 113 pretty consistently now w/out traction. Hopefully one of these days, I'll get some traction and give it a good flogging down the 1/4...though it probably won't be at Orlando Speed World. It went 12.7xx on street tires spinning pretty bad. The 12.57 run was on drag radials.

Re: attn DanBUCF....

I'm pretty confident its got a 12.2, possibly a 12.1 in it with sticky tires, good track prep, and decent air...it'll have to be one of those nights when all the planets align for that to happen.

Yo dan, mike just got those steam-roller ZR1 wheels and the Nitto 315s are supposedly on the way. I'm sure you could get enough traction to snap a driveline part w/ those

Re: attn DanBUCF....

12.2 is definately possible, I did a 12.292 on a weak 1.896 60 ft. I trapped 112.54 that pass. Since It's gotten hotter I've only been pulling mid to high 111 traps, 110 if I hot lap it. I'm working on making it leave harder, hoping to improve from my current best of a 1.746 60' to a 1.68 or better this fall. More hook + cold air will hopefully = 12.00's or faster for me.

Dan, if you're feeling brave I have some P255/50-16 M/T DR's you can borrow sometime. I won't be racing my car for another 4-5 months. I hate racing the car in the heat.

Re: attn DanBUCF....

Your converter definitely helps ya out leaving the line...I wish I could pull those kind of 60's. My best to date is a 1.86 on 245 nitto drag radials. Those Mickey Thompson drag radials are F'ing BAD! I may have to take you up on that offer...I definitely need to look into getting a set for myself. I think a set of those + cool air + any track in the state other than OSW and I should be running 12.1... But who knows really? Won't find out until I actually do it.

Re: attn DanBUCF....

Dan, the converter makes it a whole new car... the shift extension alone is worth the price of admission. But, it's a soft hit converter - only a measly 1.63 STR. I could be 60'ing a bit better w/ a harder hiting converter and more tire, but it wouldn't drive as nice as it does now. I have tons of crap in the works to make the car leave better. I spent a good 20-30 minutes at the BMR booth durring the HOT ROD Power Tour last Friday. I need to get 1.6's or better to run any kind of ET.

My tires bite good at OSW, when they put some glue down. Drew & Scott saw first hand how bad they spin when the track isn't prepped. I did a 2.06 60 ft. & ended up w/ a 12.833 @ 111.30 MPH. That same night I was able to go 12.26 & two 12.24's back to back with some track prep.

Anyhow, if you want to use the tires one night to see for yourself if they might work for ya - the offer is good for whenever.

Thanks Brian...I appreciate the offer. I'll probably take you up on that offer whenever I get a chance to make it out there...right now, I am up to my ears in work and don't see this changing anytime in the near future. Hell, I drove the camaro on friday for the first time in about 3 weeks.

Re: attn DanBUCF....

NP Dan, I won't be using them for about 4 months. And even then, I won't be racing the car 2-3 times a week every week.
