i was driving around today and noticed a 93-97 body style camaro and noticed it had ss hood and badges, so i stopped and looked and it had lt4 badge on the back and bigger single exhaust coming out the driver side rear, and ss accents in the interior. they were asking 8,700 for car. just wondering if all this sounds right? and it had 61,000 miles.

 

forgot one thing it was a 1996!!!!!

 

The LT4 was only offered on a 100 SS's in '97 and they were all white with hugger orange stripes. What color was it? This looks to be an LT4 conversion. Doesn't sound like too bad of a price.

 

it was white (no stripes) the lt4 badge was right under the ss badge on the back. everything looked right jsut didnt understand the lt4 part? i thought the lt4 was only in trans ams.. car was in great condition though... black leather 6 speed white paint was in great condition as well..

 

definately dont read a book by its cover....stopped and looked at that car also...its a real SS but not an LT4, it has a cam which is good but is barely running on stock tuning. the worst part is it has a mean knock of some type coming from the lower part of the engine...explains the low price...It has a mufflex 4" system though, non coated hooker long tubes and 6 speed, interior was in decent shape also. It would be a good fixer upper. If you had a spare engine laying around.
