need to pull engine

I am pulling the engine in my 94 z28 and I need to know is it possible to pull the engine and tranny through the top together or do I need to go ahead and pull the tranny first and then the engine. I know that it is easier to pull the engine and the tranny together in an older car but I dont know on these so your input would be much appreciated

I've allways split the two, but I think it's just personal preference.
If your hoist goes high enough, go for it.

It is possible to pull the motor out the top, but I prefer pulling both from the bottom along w/ the front suspension. Once you get all the crap unhooked and out of the way, it's about 10 bolts to drop the front end.

mongse_1, did you do it without a lift taking it out the bottom?

How many people drop out the bottom without a lift?
