advice on cam deal
i just bought a lt1 hot cam that has 3000 miles on it with brand new springs, locks, and retainers for 250 shipped. Was that a good deal or not? the guy said the specs for the cam are 218 218 .525 .525 113lsa. How does this cam compare to the cc305 which what i originally wanted? thanks
not sure how good of a deal you got if any. but heres is a thread for cam only
numbers. https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=381038
its a good base to go by. factor in full exhaust, intake upgrades, and such and you could put down some really good daily driver numbers.

The 4th Gen FAQ is really old, but it does have the answers to a lot of questions asked here.

CC305:
CCA-220-230-14
220/230
.510/.510 (1.5)
.544/.544 (1.6)
114 LSA
2500-6000 RPM
Check the LT4 HOT cam, its 218/228 112LSA, not 218/218 113

I have the cc305 cam in my camaro with a cai, ewp, 58 mm throttle body, hooker shorty headers, no cat, full catback, and a mail order tune, and it sounds great....it is very driveable, I have driven it when it is zero outside here in Illinois. I do not know much much power it puts down, it was supposed to go to the dyno last summer, never got around to it. I have laid some beat downs on some unassuming ls1 camaro drivers and mustang owners....lol....the hot cam should be just fine unless you wanted a lopey sounding cam with a little more power.
