lt4 knock module

I have a lt1 that I'm rebuilding that I put pacesetter Lt's, 1.6 rr and lt4 hotcam does anyone know if I will need a lt4 knock module?

No one actually needs one unless they have false knock. That is usually ascertained through the use of a scanner or datalog.

The LT4 knock module was used in the 96 Corvette LT4 engines to filter out the noise from the LT4's Crane Gold 1.6 RR's, to prevent false knock retard. Since you installed 1.6 RR's, its a good possibility you may experience false knock retard. No one can say with certainty that you will or will not.

Since you can get free software for OBD-I scanning, and only require a cable, its a good idea to run a data log, rather than guess.

IMO the LT1 KM is overly sensative. I would register knock retard on my scanmaster even when cruising and the engine was running fine. It was pretty much stock at the time minus a catback system. I think anyone would benefit with a LT4 KM especially with headers.
