I've seen a few kits that come with the RM seal, then the housing gasket, and another thin o-ring. What is the o-ring for? I don't believe I replaced it when I did my seal install and now I have leaks. Also, what are your opinions of rubber vs. teflon seals? See the link below for an example:

Victor-Reinz shows Teflon JV1624 and rubber JV554 , but no thin o-rings in the package... It might be a univeral set that you are looking at??
