Low Coolant Light...Problem?

So my low coolant light came on the other day when I was leaving work. Stopped, went back to work so I could have somewhere to check it out. Checked the resevior, checked the radiator. Both good. Figured it was the sensor in the radiator. Well, changed that, refilled everything the correct way and re-bled the system. Light still on. Any suggestions?

It can often take a little time for the light to go away. Make sure that unplugging it makes it go off, so you know you don't have some other problem.

Unplugged it, it went off. Plugged it back in, light is off like everything is normal. Hmm.....guess this is just one I have to wait out and see if it comes back on.

My low coolant light came on a long time ago i found out that its a sensor behind the dash on the firewall and is a really cheap sensor but people charge alot to put it in due to the location i just didnt want to mess with it myself... but i would say that if your resi is still full not to worry about it

The low coolant sensor is on the passenger side end cap of the radiator, right below the fill cap.

From what I've read and seen first hand, the low coolant sensor going out is a fairly common issue. Mine has been out since I got my car, I just unplugged it and I keep track of where my coolant levels are most of the time and check it often. It seems the sensor clogs up with gunk and triggers the low coolant light to stick on.

I think last time I checked at work (Autozone) we had them for either $35.99 or somewhere around there..
