will i run into problems?

will i run into problems?

with 12:1 compression and a comp cc305? i know its a small cam and i was a little concerned the cr is too high. think ill have to mix in some race gas? or play with timing? any inputs appreciated

Have you calculated the dynamic compression ratio (DCR)? That's what will determine the engine's octane requirements, moreso than the static compression ratio. If you are under 9:1 DCR you will probably be OK on 93-octane pump gas. Over that and you may have a problem.

You'll need to find an online DCR calculator, and you will need to have the details of the cam event timing.

not true. i have an 11:5:1 compression ratio and i run pump gas no problem. 12:1 would make me nervous
