yet another cam question

Well my 355 is getting closer to being complete. I'm going for a higher reving 355 for road racing, aiming for 6500-6800 max RPMs. right now i have a comp 224/230 112 lsa cam in the motor from the last setup. Should I consider a new cam? I've read alot about the comp 306, is that a better option?

check out ai's 226/234, it'll definetly wake that 355 up a little more and be where it sounds like you want to be

I would just call Comp or whoever and tell them your plans for the car and they will suggest a cam for you.

A cam in the mid to high 220 duration range might allow you to 'rev" to 6800 RPM but it will be done making power before then, I would suggest something in the low 230 duration range and maybe a mid to high 230 duration range depending on where you want the power band to start at.
