What does this sound like?
What does this sound like?
The trailer to the next Blair Witch project?
I assume it's being generated from your LT1? Sounds like bearings from an acc. item, of course it's real crappy sound so I'm not sure if that's "scraping" I hear or backfiring.
If it's backfiring then it could be some mixed up plug wires.

Funny thing this should happen to you too. I just put my h/c in and had almost an identical sound, take a look here:

Sounds identical huh? And guess what? My timing was off. Turns out I had my dots about an inch or less apart from eachother and cam was in the wrong position.
Dot on cam sprocket should be at 6 o clock, dot on crank sprocket should be at 12 o clock, and the cam dowel needs to be at 3 o clock.
Hope that helps.
