Driverside header hits steering shaft, HELP PLEASE
I just put a set of pacesetter mid-tube headers for a 96-97 LT1 on my car, and the steering linkage hits the header collector right on a weld.
I searched and couldnt find a case that was excatly like mine
The adjustable bolt on the linkage is where its hitting, and i've heard stuff about swapping in a ls1 steering shaft, but im not sure that part of the shaft is any differnet from a lt1 shaft.
So far i've: taken a little bit of the top of the bolt head off, tried adjusting the shaft, and its too strong of and area to dent it.
My motor mounts seem to be saging so i ordered a new set from jegs today, but i'd rather do something easier than putting motor mounts in, the header install kinda weared me out for a while.
Is there any other alternative things i can do to get the header to clear?
BTW the car is a 96 lt1 camaro with a six-speed
Thanks ALOT

Its dark out so i cant really take a pic, but i can show you where on the header it's hitting

Thats the best i can do right now
Like i said its the bolt that you can adjust thats contacting the header collector right on the weld
and i already tried grinding down the bolt, it made it better but its still hitting
Thanks!!

Edit .... wow those headers are a work of art! Mine is hitting above that bolt, its also a 95
