Chugging at steady speed

My 96Z has developed a slight chugging problem at steady speed. I have found a crack at the end of the black rubber tube that runs from the TB to the passenger side valve cover(fresh air tube?). Would this crack cause the problem?

That wouldn't cause a chug directly. It could however cause you to be sucking in dirty air and cruding up the oil. When was your last plug change and how old are your wires? Start looking for a miss. Sounds more like that or a bad fuel filter. Always start with the little things.

Both are fresh.

Also, the car runs strong under acceleration...
