Daily Driver Setups and Stats

Have a 94 Camaro z28 with cold air intake, SLP headers and Catback. This is my daily driver and I wanna do a cam and heads, or get my heads ported and polished. If anyone did cam and heads and use their car for a daily driver, what kind of setup do you have going and how do you like it? What kind of HP are you getting? How did the MPG gas milage change?

Not a daily driver because it's my toy and I try and keep the miles down. But it could be with no problems. Info in sig, and it gets the milage of an suv around town. On the highway it's a little better. Haven't checked MPG in a long time and really don't care. It's not what I built it for.

I use mine as a daily driver. Not sure of the exact HP but should be around 400RWHP. Gas mileage isnt bad at all, aslong i keep my foot out of it!!

I really havent had many problems with it, and really enjoy driving it around

Oh yeah, mods are in my sig.....

Thumbs up Oh YEA

I have a 1994 Z28 With a comp 306 cam its a 6 speed with Pace setter headers and Y-pipe And it "Bucks" a little when the RPM's are below 1400 not real bad, And Iuse it as my daily driver I drive about 25 mile each way to work and home and it still gets pretty good gas milage, as long as my foot cooperates I LOVE this setup its great!!!!

Mods in sig.

Right now the tune is way off because I am running nearly 11-12:1 air fuel ratio at idle I get great mileage if I don't have to sit in Chicago traffic and suck fumes.

Weekday avg is 15-16mpg with 75% city, then 25% getting on the expressway (I use that term loosely, far from express)

Weekend avg if I have to drive into work is about 16-18 depending if I decide to play a little with the roads empty.

Mileage drops 1-2 mpg if I crank the AC

Luckily I am working on getting a new job that isn't a 2 hour trip and is actually 4 miles from home. Once that happens I'm porting a set of heads and going to town on the whole thing.
