94 LT1- Will the Hypertech programer take the program out of the module in car that I put in it, even tho the eng. is not in car module is still hooked up to harness. I wanted to use programmer on my 95 Formula but it must be clear of other output to another module. Any body know. D Mc

 

Once you download the performance program, the Hypertech programmer is "linked" to that vehicle's VIN#. It can not be used on another vehicle, unless the performance program is removed and the factory restored.

As long as you can turn the power on, I believe it should work. The programmers do the PCM programming without the engine.
