New Cam

I am looking to rebuild my motor so why the motor is out of my car I would like to put a bigger cam in. I was thinking something like a CC306 but I am not sure yet. The question I need answered would be a list of other things I need to buy for the cam to work. Any information would be helpful. Thanks Zhoff

If your going through the trouble of rebuilding the motor then can we assume your geting the heads reworked? If so then I would suggest getting them ported by a reputable head porter and getting the custum cam he recomends. Thats what I would do. Just my .02

Ignoring the choice of cam, which is not to my taste, the main thing you absolutely need is new springs. You will need new retainers with the new springs. You may need new pushrods of a different length. If your lifters are in good shape, you can re-use them. You may need new rocker arms as the stockers cannot accomodate lift above a certain point. Or, you could griond the slot in the rocker arm longer if needed. However, if you are upgrading the cam, a set of roller rockers is a good complement anyway. Installing 7/16" rocker studs is also a good idea.
