How are the battery cables routed?

How are the battery cables routed?
I need to know how the main battery cables are routed on our engine. Someone before me was a dumbass and routed them incorrectly which led to me having trouble with them for about a month until the engine just ate through one last night. Could someone give the an exact description or post a pic of how the cables are suppose to be routed?
