34 MAF/MAP signal low - high vacuum

Scanned the car yesterday and got this reading. Replaced the MAP sensor today and got the same code thrown in my face. What is up?

Do not use a "generic" code list.... that code applies only to the MAP sensor on the LT1's. Shoebox has the LT1-specific list on his website:

http://shbox.com/1/Dtcs.htm

DTC 34 = Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor circuit (signal voltage low, high vacuum)

The code sets when the PCM sees a reading indicating a vacuum higher than the engine is caable of producing. Check the harness connector. They dry out and crumble, making intermittent contact with the sensor pins.

I copied the code exactly as it read on the code scanner.

The clip on the harness connector is broken off but i am positive that I is still connected all the way. I'll take it apart again today and look for corrosion or other damage.

That would be a "generic" code list. But if that's what you want to use, go for it. No sense using Shoebox's list and getting it right
