My wife was driving, following a fullsize GMC into a parking lot.

The fellow stopped, so did she - about a car and half's length behind him.......kinda wondering what the hell he was up to.

She then watched his reverse lights come on and he started to come back......with some speed.

She layed on the horn but he had his music too loud to hear.

Smashed in the drivers side of the front......the door won't open on the drivers side either.

The fellow who hit her was more than apologetic and took full resposibility.

I just got home from the auto body shop - the fellow figures between 3500 and 5000 damage.

This is what I got as a rental in the meantime.
I'm not incredibly happy about it - it's too large for our means, but it's nice to drive seeing as it only has 200km on it.

 

sorry to hear. Prey the guy doesn't try and say she rear ended him. Hopefully he already admitted fault? Glad she's okay though!

 

I managed to get the fellow on my cell phone talking to the ICBC rep admitting full responsibility.

He was a really decent bloke.
Nice to see there are some good people out there.

 

Good luck with all that, where I live a parking lot accident is considered no fault since its on private property. Some people know about it and some don't but it is funny how stories change when people find out a law like that.

 

Are you serious? In all circumstances? Even if it is totally 100000% your fault? If I were a jerk I'd buy an old truck for 100 bucks and start ramming nice new shiny cars.
