Notf***ing good
Re: Notf***ing good
Very unfortunate Shaun....
In my opinion go with a D-1x Head Unit, you should be able to find a nice on out there used and just send that to ATI for a refesh. I am not sure what they will charge you for a rebuild but I don't think they will warranty it because you were using different brackets.

You have got to be kidding!!
Lets look at the bright side of things... You got the tune working well and hopefully no more burning oil. This is probably one of your smaller problems over the years.
I would just watch the oil to make sure nothing got in it. I'm sure it didn't but for another $30 oil change its cheap insurance on the motor.

Re: Notf***ing good
This is when you can be grateful it was a self contained Head Unit. Since you did recently have it refreeshed by ATI you could try to blame them and say you hadn't put any miles on it till now and they don't need to know which brackets you are using
Re: Notf***ing good
No Kidding Johnny. Rest assurred that issue immediately came to mind.
i have no idea WHY this happened. The only think I can think of is that the surge valve and the blow off valve failed suggesting a vacuum problem however, the vaccum lines appeared fine.
I was to chmnge the oil off course and see if there is anything in there. There ARE very fine aluminum parts in the tubing but who knows.
