99 3.8 fuel pump problem

I have a 99 3.8 camaro and fuel randomly doesn't come on at startup. I have replaced it once and it seemed to run fine for a couple of days and then it left me stranded again. I checked the fuse, switched the fuel pump relay with the ac, tried starting with the spare key, and tried to reset the battery and nothing helped. I ordered another fuel pump for it, but before I got it put in it started again and ran fine for another couple days. I hooked the original fuel pump I removed from it directly to a battery and it seemed to work fine. Is the fuel pressure reg. bad, could it be the pcm?
